The Advent Conspiracy

Hello, Darling,

When a baby arrives, that tiny life alters everything. Their existence redefines how our world turns. It’s a beautiful and wondrous moment where lives and hearts and families are expanded and reshaped.

Such is the moment when Jesus was born. It was a beautiful and wondrous moment where lives and hearts and families redefined how the world turns. Life expanded and the world was reshaped.

Our friends at the Advent Conspiracy boldly ask each year if Christmas can still change the world – the love, hope, redemption and relationship.

We love the idea we can reclaim the ways that Christmas changes the world. That’s why you’ll see articles at Hello, Darling this month focusing on the four Advent Conspiracy tenets.

Worship Fully

Spending less isn’t a call to stop giving gifts; it’s a call to stop spending money on gifts we won’t remember in less than a year. America spends around $600 billion dollars during the Christmas season, and much of that is joyless and goes right onto a credit card. By spending wisely on gifts we free ourselves from the anxiety associated with debt so we can take in the season with a full heart.

Give More

By spending just a little less on gifts, we free up our resources to love as Jesus loves by giving to those who really need help.

Moms, will you join us this Christmas as we embrace the spirit of the season, and experience all that was offered to us when Jesus was born in that small stable?

Warmly,
Jackie Alvarez
