Rejection

I am by nature a bit of a scaredy-cat. I used to think that when I grew up things wouldn’t be as scary. When I was six I was afraid of the dark, but my mom wasn’t afraid of the dark, so maybe when I grow up I won’t be afraid anymore. Now as an adult, I realize the fear has continued to follow me. Although it comes out a little differently. My biggest fear now? Rejection. It keeps me from trying things, from asking for things, and from sharing my ideas. This fear took over my life. Then I came across this TEDtalk.

 

 


Jennifer Iverson is the Leadership Content Coordinator at MOPS International. She is an organizer of things and people which also comes in handy as the mother of six children. Jennifer and her husband, Mike, live in central Pennsylvania where you can always find a warm cup of coffee brewing.
