Introducing Tasha Levert to the Hello, Darling Family

Darling, we are excited to introduce you to Tasha Levert, our newest resident writer to the Hello, Darling blog. We love Tasha’s irreverent and bold conversation about topics that matter deeply to us as woman, wives and moms. Tasha will be a regular from here on out, but she allowed us to publish a few blogosphere gems we hope you will check out. You can follow along with all of her wonderful words of wit and wisdom. We cannot begin to tell you how excited we are to have Tasha as part of the Hello, Darling family, and we hope you’ll give her a hearty welcome.

Hello, Darling,
My name is Tasha Levert (pronounced “love air”), and I am super excited to become part of the “Hello, Darling” family.

There is one thing you should probably know about me from the start: I am a total slacker mom. I stopped sanitizing my daughters’ baby bottle nipples after almost burning down the house. I fed my girls generic brand baby formula in bottles now believed to be made of toxic plastic. I never bake for my kids’ class parties. I think homework should be banned from society. And my minivan currently smells like dead shrimp (long story).

If you’re looking for the mom-who-has-it-all-together blogger, then you’re going to be dreadfully disappointed when you get to know me. But if you’re looking for a blogger who celebrates motherhood in the successes and the failures, the calm and the chaos, the cherished and the Pinterest-fail moments, then I’m your girl.

I am married to the hottest youth pastor on the planet, Tim Levert. We enjoy eating, traveling, singing, napping, dancing, dreaming and playing with our kids. We have three beautiful daughters, Elle, Zoe and Ashton, and a lazy schnauzer named Gumbo. We live in a small Louisiana town a few miles outside of New Orleans, just past a lovely alligator-infested swamp.

I have a Ph.D. in counseling, and my practice is in New Orleans where I see face-to-face and online clients. I’m a therapist, conference speaker, worship leader and author of Stories of Hope for the Sleep Deprived.

I’m a social media junkie, so feel free to check in from time to time. My name is weird, so I don’t need a snazzy handle. You can find me @tashalevert on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Or if you’re wanting to know more about me, my counseling practice, or my blog, go to tashalevert.com or broomtreecounseling.com/.

I look forward to getting to know you, but for now, I should probably go figure out a way to get the dead shrimp smell out of my van.

Enjoying the journey,

Tasha Levert

Take the opportunity to introduce yourself to Tasha, she’d love to meet you!
